Staff Biography

Prof. (Mrs) Joy Ugo Nwamarah was born on the 4^th of September, 1954. She completed her primary school education in Kano, Nigeria in 1966 and her secondary school at Evangel High School, Old Umuahia in the year 1972. In 1990, she got her Dip. Nursing/Public administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her B.Sc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1994. Then her M.Sc. Human Nutrition from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2001 and followed by her Ph.D human Nutrition from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2006.

She is currently under the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Natural Science Unit, School of General Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. 

Her professional qualifications includes;
Nigeria Certified Nurse 1977, Registered General Nurse (RCN Ireland) 1980 and State Certificate of Midwifery 1984.
